Reverse Osmosis System
Reverse Osmosis (RO) is one of the most effective and widely used membrane-based water treatment technologies. It operates on the principle of pressure-driven filtration to remove dissolved salts, contaminants, and impurities, producing high-purity water for industrial, municipal, and commercial applications. At RTW UK, we provide advanced RO systems designed for efficiency, reliability, and sustainable water management.

How Reverse Osmosis Works
RO uses a semi-permeable membrane to separate impurities from water. When high pressure is applied to the feedwater, it forces the water molecules through the membrane while rejecting dissolved salts, ions, and other contaminants, resulting in purified water.
Process Steps
Pre-Treatment
Feedwater is treated to remove suspended solids and larger impurities, protecting the RO membranes from fouling and scaling.
Pressurization
The feedwater is pressurized to overcome the natural osmotic pressure and drive the water through the RO membrane.
Separation
Pure water (permeate) passes through the membrane, while impurities (concentrate or brine) are retained and discharged.
Post-Treatment
The permeate can undergo further treatment or conditioning based on its intended application.
